The Humpty Dumpty Foundation provides urgently required medical equipment for neonatal units, paediatric wards, and emergency departments in public hospitals and health services Australia-wide.
The Humpty Dumpty Foundation provides urgently required medical equipment for neonatal units and paediatric wards in public hospitals and health services Australia-wide. We are the largest charitable supplier of children’s medical equipment behind State and Territory Governments.
Humpty supports over 500 hospitals and health services across Australia. If your hospital needs equipment to support the care of sick babies and children, we can help.
If the equipment you are requesting is absent from Humpty’s current list of pre-approved equipment, and if the equipment requires a specific configuration and/or accessories, please make sure to add a current quote and as much detail about how the equipment can help sick babies or children in hospital so our Medical Program Advisory Committee (MPAC) can assess accurately.
Humpty’s MPAC considers ALL requests for equipment that promises to improve health outcomes for babies and children.
A public hospital or health service with a high-priority need for children’s medical equipment submits a request for assistance to Humpty by completing the Humpty Dumpty Foundation online application, including a signed Service Head Declaration.
*Submissions must meet eligibility criteria, as outlined below.
Submissions are rigorously assessed by Humpty’s Medical Program Advisory Committee to ensure compliance with Humpty’s Wish List approval guidelines.
Approved items are added to Humpty’s Wish List and published online and at events in the hope a 'Good Egg' will be able to help and donate.
When a Wish List item is donated, Humpty orders it and arranges direct delivery to the hospital or health service.
A donor plaque is affixed to the equipment recognising the generous support of the 'Good Egg'.
Hospitals are encouraged to share the love by passing on feedback and photos to be shared with the donor and the greater Humpty community, celebrating the generous support of 'Good Eggs'.
For consideration of a donation, every submission must meet the following criteria:
Proposals for co-funding projects with other local sources are also favourably considered.
Submissions for equipment are accepted at any time.
Is your hospital or health service in need of support? Please submit a request for assistance to Humpty by completing the online application.

For 35 years, Humpty has been helping bridge the health inequity gap by providing hospitals and health services with essential and often life saving medical equipment.
We cherish stories from frontline workers and families whose lives have been changed forever as a result of equipment donated by Humpty, with thanks to generous donors.

Humpty generally only donates equipment to public hospitals. Although, we encourage you to reach out to Humpty’s Wish List team, who can determine if your health service fits within our scope of support.
Funded items are solely dependent on donor selection and funding capabilities. Some pieces added to Humpty’s Wish List are donated in a day, while others take 12 months.
Due to extensive international delivery delays, larger pieces of equipment can take up to nine months. Generally, smaller equipment donations get delivered within a month.
Yes. Please reach out to Team Humpty on 1300 486 789 (HUMPTY) to approve wording and images when promoting a donation.
We are supplier agnostic and aim to fund equipment hospitals identify as necessary within their departments. We understand that keeping consistency amongst equipment is key to efficiency and safe patient care; therefore, we are happy to review equipment from all suppliers.
No. We ask that if you submit for equipment through Humpty, this is the only space the equipment gets advertised for funding. This way, a double up is prevented should a donor be found through both advertising spaces.
The hospital takes responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of donated equipment once delivered. Humpty has no ownership, and the equipment must be used as intended.
No. Humpty will not support the donation of consumable products unless included in the initial purchase of equipment.
Requests for furniture and fittings will not be supported by Humpty unless there is a compelling rationale to justify Humpty’s involvement, plus a clear alignment with our purpose as a Foundation.
