HUMPTY'S FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN TALKS TO JAYNIE SEAL

In the interview, Paul and Jaynie discuss how it shouldn’t matter where you live, but sadly, it does.

Around 28% of the Australian population lives in rural and remote communities. Babies and children living in these regions face higher rates of hospitalisation, injury and even death due to the challenges of their geographic location, including inaccessibility to the healthcare services they require. Two-thirds of the equipment donated by Humpty goes to hospitals in rural and remote parts of Australia. 

Paul goes on the explain how Humpty’s unique Wish List model came about when the Foundation started. Instead of fundraising and then passing on the funds directly to a hospital, Humpty would take medical equipment requests from hospitals and then fundraise for those specific pieces of equipment, producing tangible outcomes for both donors and the hospitals. Paul shares that the Humpty Team receive feedback daily from families, doctors and nurses about what a difference the support of our donors is making and how any funds raised are used in a tangible and impactful way to help keep families closer together and help sick children receive treatment closer to home.
